There is always something you can do to shift the tone of your system during discomfort - even by one shade.

These tools were learned through experience living with systemic disease.

I am not a professional. Rather, I learned through working with professionals, studying in training programs with professionals, and a half-decade of inventive implementation and 24/7 practice.

If your experience involves physical sickness or pain, these tools can be used to change how you're relating to it in the moment; to shift your state - even by 1%.

If your experience does not involve sickness or pain, the same rules apply.

Most are equally as applicable if your boss just ticked you off, your kid just threw a tantrum, you are experiencing something unpleasant, or simply put:

any moment in which you would like to “create your state”.

Consider this a playroom. These practices part of a toolbox. A paint palette. A treasure chest.

The goal is more comfort. The way is play and experimentation.

Pick one up. Use it. Blend it. Smudge it with ones you already use. Put it back if it’s not for you.

Learning to work with somatic tools is its own creative act.

Any moment of pain becomes a chance to “use” your supplies.

To make something new.

To create your state.
