It’s loud.

A nervous system Orchestra.
But, the instrument’s strings are frayed;
the musicians forgot the basic scales;
and the conductor is wasted.

The Immune System plays on
creating its own showstoppers
The Interlude of the Inflammatory Inferno or Allergy Anthem
among them.

In the laundry room of our family home in CA, there is a painting of a neon green, we’ll call it… “abstract”… spotted dog, sliding across a fire red floor. I painted it when I was seven.

Since starting to experience significant health challenges at the turn of 2017 (after a Rookie season of illness several years prior), I have often felt I straddle two worlds. Two worlds that are a bridge too far - and need not be.
